The territory of the province of Vercelli can be remembered as an hourglass, narrower in the center, and encloses the entire course of the river Sesia, from Monte Rosa to the Po.
Characterized by a wide diversity of landscapes and natural elements, but also historical and artistic: the Vercellese is able to attract all types of tourists.
Most of the area is flat and cultivated with rice. The Vercelli rice fields are known in the world, their spring images famous when, once flooded, they form an immense chessboard of water mirrors. The most central part of the area is the wine-producing area, some internationally known as the Gattinara. The north side, which includes the River Sesia course, is known for river sports and rich fisheries.
